Abstract:
To explore the growth differences of tree species under different thinning treatments, four diff erent thinning treatments, including full cutting, retraction, pruning, and retention, were used, and 9 native broad-leaf tree species such as Castanopsis fi ssa were interplanted to transform the abandoned Litchi forest. The growth performance and plant diversity of the tree species after transformation was analyzed and the growth diff erences of the tree species after 6 years of transformation were analyzed. The results showed that the average tree height, crown width growth, and DBH growth of Litchi forest and tree species were diff erent under diff erent thinning treatments and diff erent interplanting methods. Among them, the pruning interplanting treatment had the most obvious eff ect on the growth of individual stands, litchi forest, and interplanting species, followed by the retracting and interplanting treatment, and the full cutting and retracted interplanting treatments had lower growth. The analysis of plant diversity showed that the four types of transformation increased the plant diversity of the shrub layer and herb layer to varying degrees, indicating that appropriate retraction or pruning was benefi cial to the immigration and settlement of herbs and shrubs. Overall, pruning and retracting interplanting methods are most conducive to the growth of transformed tree species and the increase in plant richness.
