Abstract:
In order to explore the variation regulation of the contents of essential oil and its main chemical components, and carry out resource evaluation of Cinnamomum burmannii in Guangdong province, and select superior trees of d-borneol type, provide excellent germplasm for the development of natural d-borneol industry. In this paper, the hydrodistillation and GC-MS technology were used to extract the essential oil and detect its chemical composition. Results showed that the content of essential oil of C. burmannii was 0-1.41%, the average content was 0.28%, and the coefficient of variation was 100%. 38-42 chemical components were detected and identified in the essential oils among 182 plants of C. burmannii. all of the 182 essential oils contained d-borneol, with a minimum content of 0.12% and a maximum of 88.77%. the average content was 38.66%, but the average content of camphor was extremely low, only 0.44%. There were 15 kinds of the first chemical components indifferent individuals, such as d-borneol, eucalyptol and caryophyllene, etc. The number of plants with different first chemical components showed an inverted L-shaped distribution. The top four chemical components with the largest number of plants were d-borneol, 125 plant, accounting for 68.68%, followed by cineole , 31 plant, accounting for 17.03%; tied for third is caryophyllene and eucalyptol with 4 plant each, accounting for 2.19%; taking into account both essential oil and d-borneol content, 21 superior trees of d-borneol type of C. burmannii were selected by economic accounting method, which could be used to breed and popularize high quality seedlings.
