Abstract:
Secondary forest of Cunninghamia lanceolata Plantations are widely distributed in northern Guangdong Province. It is worth further discussion on how to take into account wood production and biodiversity protection. In order to explore the effects of different densities of C. lanceolata Forest on the species diversity of understory vegetation, three representative C. lanceolata forest communities aged 4-8 years were selected in Ruyang forest farm, Shao guan, Guangdong Province. The results showed that: In the young stage, with the density increasing of C. lanceolata, the diversity and evenness of understory vegetation showed an increasing trend. Most of the undergrowth vegetation are Labiatae, lacqueraceae, Cupressaceae or Broussonetia, Miscanthus and Rubus, appropriate increase of these plant species is beneficial to increase species diversity . And the Shannon Wiener diversity index was the most signi?cant correlation with C. lanceolata density, the others were not signi?cant.
