Abstract:
Soil water content directly affects crop growth and soil mechanical properties, and has significance in such researches as agriculture, engineering, and ecology. Rapid measurement of soil water content based on near-infrared reflectance spectral characteristics is of great importance in such studies and applications as crop production, irrigation and ecological environments. This paper introduce the measuring principle and analyzes the characteristic of soil water measurement by using near-infrared spectroscopy method. Research on sensing technology and measuring devices is summarized and analyzed through the collection of domestic and foreign scholars’ research results. Soil water content measurement by using near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy gradually moving towards commercialization that measuring device is miniaturized and the measurement result has high accuracy. Besides, this near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy method does not need to touch the soil to destroy the soil structure and can obtain the measurement results quickly, which can meet the needs of scientific research and production activities.
