Abstract:
In 2002-2016, some important forest diseases in Guangdong province were investigated in the field, and the relationship between airflow and infection diseases of forest was analyzed according to the survey data. Results showed that branch withering of Castanopsis fissa, dieback of Eucalyptus sp. were caused by the air borne diseases; the airflow opened up the invasion channel for pathogen of bacterial leaf blight of Cunninghamia lanceolata, root rot of Taxus chinensis, Acacia sp. and bacterial wilt of Casuarina equisetifolia; the penetration and control strategies for these diseases could be adjusted accordingly. In summary, airflow could obviously make for the occurrence of some important forest diseases, it was recommended to carry out the experimental study of air borne diseases to promote the future prevention and control work in Guangdong province.
